2021 Cruise Info

Hello everyone. The new year has started a bit like last year, while there is progress being made with COVID vaccines we still have a way to go to be totally safe.

So, for cruises in 2021 I have a few announcements:

  • We are going to POSTPONE the 50th frostbite cruise that was scheduled for February 27th to a future date that will announced when determined.
  • The Blue Angles air show scheduled for April 10th has been cancelled due to current COVID guidelines.

Here are some dates and events we have coming up on the calendar:

SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH

SPRING FLING BOAT-IN CONCERT FEAT. CHRIS THOMAS BAND

Our first Dock, Dine & Dance event was a huge success. Don’t miss this one! See club daily update or email for details.

APRIL 15TH - 18TH

FERNANDINA HARBOR MARINA

Join us on Friday, April 16th at 6:30pm for a 2-hour adult river cruise with our favorite reggae man Jimmy Beats playing live music. Bring your own food and favorite adult beverage. No one under 21 allowed to board. More detail in separate email.

JULY 22ND - 25TH

WELAKA CRUISE

The coolest place to be in the summer! If you haven’t made some sort of reservation, don’t wait things fill up fast.

NOVEMBER 5TH - 7TH

JEKYLL ISLAND SHRIMP & GRITS FESTIVAL

This will be the clubs third try to get there and if the weather cooperates you can’t miss this one. By boat or car/hotel this is a really fun event. More on this as we get closer to the date.

If there are other cruise opportunities this year, we have plenty of time slots we could fill. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone on the water.

DECEMBER 3RD - 5TH

FROSTBITE CRUISE

Ira's - Black Creek - Come by Land, Come by Sea.....

Yes, we usually do this in February but this year is special so December it is. The first frostbite was held 50 years ago on December 4th so how fitting the date falls on a Saturday this year. This year we’re going all out with live entertainment Saturday. As usual on Saturday, bring your own item for the grill and the club will supply the fixins and salad. Remember to bring an extra steak or breakfast contribution for the best Sunday brunch you’ve ever had. Friday evening oyster roast is on tap as well!

FYC will possibly provide transportation to and from the club on Saturday for those who don’t wish to drive that far, more details to follow. Boaters, the raft up will be as usual.

A big thank you to Stuart Ira and all his family for all the years of good times and great memories. This might be the longest continuous event the club has sponsored and many times you’ll see three generations together in attendance. It’s a great day for adults and kids.

For planning purposes please click the link below so we know how many plan to attend especially for those seeking transportation on Saturday.
