Spring Renewal

Living in Florida it can be easy to forget the changing seasons, yet our bodies still move through nature’s cycles. In Ayurveda, spring is known as Kapha season, a time when the heavier qualities of winter begin to soften and melt away. This can sometimes show up as sluggishness, congestion, or a feeling of heaviness in the body.

Just as we clean and refresh our homes in the spring, our bodies benefit from a little internal renewal as well.

Simple ways to support this seasonal transition include drinking warm lemon water in the morning, eating lighter foods like fresh greens and vegetables, and moving the body daily to stimulate circulation and lymph flow.

Massage can also play an important role in spring cleansing. Therapeutic bodywork supports circulation, encourages lymphatic movement, and helps the body release accumulated stagnation from the winter months.

Spring is an invitation to gently awaken the body and support its natural movement toward renewal, lightness, and vitality.
